The Seymour Fromer Traveling Exhibition
Since its inaugural exhibition in 2002, “Justice Illuminated: The Art of Arthur Szyk” has toured museums, universities, libraries and cultural centers across the nation and around the world. The exhibit contextualizes the life and art of Arthur Szyk within the cultural and political movements of the first half of the 20th century, focusing on three themes: World War II and Holocaust; America; and Jewish Response. The traveling exhibit consists of 32 color photo-mural panels. The recommended rental period is two to three months.
To complement the exhibition, the traveling exhibition program provides curriculum-ready educational materials suitable for university-level programs in political science, art history, Jewish and Holocaust studies, and cultural studies. Other optional offerings include Internet exhibits, public programming, docent trainings, and gift shop merchandise.

The Seymour Fromer Traveling Exhibition Program of The Arthur Szyk Society is named in honor of the late Seymour Fromer (1922–2009). Seymour was the founder of the Judah L. Magnes Museum (now The Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life at UC Berkeley’s Bancroft Library). He freely offered his expertise and guidance to The Society, where he served as Vice-President until his death. He is sorely missed.
